Mentoring @ Bond 182 – Perfecting Mentoring with Professor Sharon Straus

Mentoring @ Bond empowers an academic to reach their potential through a supportive relationship network that focuses on collegiality to bring about personal, professional and career development.

In this lunchtime workshop, mentors and mentees will explore the challenges of mentoring and learn tips for a successful mentoring relationship.

Professor Sharon Straus is a Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto and author of “Mentorship in Academic Medicine”. Dr Straus holds a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Knowledge Translation (KT) and Quality of Care and more than $30 million in peer reviewed research grants as a Principal Investigator (PI). She has over 300 publications, and has supervised more than 25 graduate students from different disciplines including clinical epidemiology, health informatics and human factors engineering.
